“I don’t know what to post” – Overcome the blank page

So 90% of you struggle with knowing what to post, and that’s the number 1 reason gym owners don’t put out enough content. The easiest way for me to figure out what to post is to have themed content. Themes help me generate ideas for better content, and make it easier to get over that blank page syndrome.

💥Here are 7️⃣ themes to post about:⠀

1️⃣ Client Stories 🏃🏽‍♀️⠀

Remember to share moments, not just measurements. Lindsey losing 15kgs is good, but Lindsey having the energy to play with her kids is great! Always look for emotional connection when telling client stories.⠀

2️⃣ Coach’s Tip 🦸⠀

We’re talking about things to improve people’s lives. Think small things that have a big impact.⠀
Morning routines, journaling, reducing screen time, making time to read and other pieces that deliver value. ALWAYS deliver value.⠀
3️⃣ Your Philosophy 🤓⠀

You didn’t become a gym owner or a coach to sit on the fence. You probably have some feelings about movement, coaching, nutrition, lifestyle and everything else that’s part of the fitness journey.⠀

Not everyone will agree, but those who do will benefit from working with you, and that’s the whole point. ⠀

⚠️REMEMBER: It’s your philosophy, not your soapbox. Everyone’s at a certain point in their journey, and that’s OK. Never forget Life Rule #1: Don’t be a 🍆⠀

4️⃣ Nutrition 🥦⠀

Time-saving recipes, eat-this-instead-of-that, your opinions on popular nutrition topics and healthy eating on the go are all great things to talk about. ⠀

5️⃣ Community 👯⠀

If you have a gym, there’s a community that goes with it. Those stories are some of my favourites. People celebrating things from birthdays to barbells are always fun to read. ⠀

6️⃣Culture ❤️⠀

Some people confuse Community for Culture. Culture is a set of values, standards and ways of doing things. Community is where culture comes to life. ⠀

“We go hiking together” is Community.⠀

“We leave no trace” is Culture. ⠀

7️⃣ Pass on Information 📚⠀

Reading a great book? Watched an awesome TED Talk? Share your learnings and takeaways and how you’ll apply them in your life. Learn and pass on.⠀

I hope these make the blank page or screen easier to conquer! 😊⠀

Write 1 post a day or schedule a month in advance, whatever works better for you 💪🏽⠀
